We are a small and fun(d) devoted team in Malmö.
THE ROLE
👀 We’re looking for a sharp, driven, and entrepreneurial Founders’ Associate to work directly with our founding General Partners, Hampus, Joel, and Heidi, and the rest of our team. This role is a hybrid of support, operations, and executive assistance - ideal for someone who wants to gain exposure across multiple areas of a venture capital fund. No two days will be the same.
Our dream candidate can work remotely but lives close to Malmö and preferably spends 2 times/week at our office in Malmö.
Finally, with your wonderful energy and proactive, innovative mindset, you can identify new opportunities for improvement and drive change forward! Your written and verbal communication skills are excellent, particularly in English, with a keen eye for details. You are candid, fun to work with, and, most importantly, you care about people and our planet. 🍀
SOME AREAS YOU WILL TAKE PART IN
Expenses & Invoices: Oversee GPs' expense & receipts submissions to Pleo.
Travel & Logistics: Plan and book travel and accommodation for business trips.
Executive & Personal Support: For example, support GPs with research, presentations, fundraising material, or other day-to-day activities. Provide ad-hoc assistance on business and occasional personal matters to effectively support the GPs and other team members.
Office Management: Make sure our fridge is filled and run on ad-hoc shopping sprees.
Social media: Post updates on our LinkedIn account.
Merch and gifts: Send Merch to Portfolio founders and others when needed.
Events: Prepare and support during events.
Maintain and regularly update the founder and portfolio contact list.
YOU ARE A GOOD FIT IF YOU ARE/HAVE
- Experience working in fast-paced environments, handling stressful situations, and meeting tight deadlines is helpful. You also need to be able to handle many different types of people with a positive attitude.
- Some prior experience or knowledge about startups and the startup ecosystem is preferred, but not essential.
- Well-versed in English, both written and spoken.
EXPERIENCE WE VALUE
- Having worked at an early stage startup is useful to understand the community we work within and the portfolio companies we serve.
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset. You are ok working with some uncertainty and are happy to think outside of the box when things don't go to plan.
- You work well independently but are also a team player.
- You have used a range of modern document tools (Google Drive, Notion, etc) and happy to collaborate in Slack, Zoom/Hangouts, and other digital bonanza.
CHARACTER TRAITS
Communication: You are good at communicating clearly in various formats and are not afraid to communicate externally, both verbally and in written format. Internal communication is done in English.
Problem solver: You are a problem solver at heart and love the opportunity to find new solutions if things don’t go to plan. You can live with some last-minute changes and uncertainty.
Organisational skills: You can manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines.
Time management: You set your deadlines for multiple tasks, but prefer to deliver early to ensure that you are always one step ahead of the others, and arrange tasks ahead of time.
Self-managed: You can manage yourself, take your own initiatives, and see what the next step is.
